Thai massage in this country dates back to 1998, when the owner of Thaifit travelled to Thailand, to Koh Samet island, on holiday with his parents. This is where he became acquainted with the wonderful effects of Thai massage right on the beach, surrounded by the beautiful, untouched nature. After the holiday ended, he naturally asked, “Why don’t we have something like this at home?!“

This was in January and the seemingly impossible became reality within four months – despite enormous difficulties, especially in regard to administration, the first two Thai masseuses came to Prague in May 1998! Who would have thought that there would now be nearly more massage studios in Prague than there are in Bangkok!
