A lava stone massage is a therapeutic procedure combining traditional massage techniques with smooth, heated lava stones. These hot stones are placed on the body during the massage process to release tension and promote the relaxing effect. A unique experience: what happens during a lava stone massage?
The lava stones are heated to 50 – 60°C and are placed on the body’s energy centres, which they warm and relax and start energy flowing along the energy pathways (meridians). The accumulated heat, along with the energy vibration from the lava stones, dissolves blocks in the energy pathways and the body’s energy is balanced and harmonised. The subsequent massage with the hot lava stones starts the blood and lymph circulating, it warms and loosens muscles and speeds up the metabolism. This is followed by intense detoxification of your body.

A lava stone massage is very effective in relieving pain (in the back, neck, head, joints and muscles) and cramps. It releases all tension, both physical and mental. - Select the intensity of the massage at reception and adjust it during the massage by communicating with your masseuse.

- This massage is not suitable for pregnant women, if you suffer from varicose veins, skin disease, cancer, fever or infectious disease or if you are sensitive to heat.
- This massage is not recommended on hot summer days.
